Every Vote Counts (EVC) @ Brown aims to promote democracy, voting rights, and civic engagement and to conduct this work on campus, in the Providence and Rhode Island communities, and nationally. They do this by directly encouraging voter turnout among Brown students, working with community organizations and representatives to promote voting rights legislation in RI, and researching civic engagement patterns among students and Providence residents. Eligibility to EVC is open to all full-time undergraduate members of the Brown community and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, national or ethnic origin, disability, status as a veteran, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or caste. Majority membership consists of full-time undergraduate students.
