First Generation Investors is a national non profit, originating from the UPenn and now spread across the country. FGI partners with local title 1 high schools to teach high school students from underserved backgrounds about investing. Topics include: personal finance, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETF’s, college loans, and more! After 7 lessons, high schoolers present their knowledge and a plan to invest. After graduation, their students receive a $100 portfolio through national donation money.
