Mariachi Ositos de Brown is a traditional Mexican ensemble consisting of student trumpeters, violinists, guitarists, vihuelist, and bassists (guitarrón). As Providence's only Mariachi band, they are dedicated to celebrating Mexican culture and visibility both on and off campus. They perform for a wide variety of events, including private serenatas, weddings, concerts, funerals, parties, and more. Their musical repertoire includes rancheras, sones, huapangos, boleros, and other genres of Mexican music.
