Organizations
The Queer Alliance’s predecessor, the Gay Liberation Group, was named an official student organization on December 17, 1970. In 2003, the Gay Liberation Group was formally renamed the Queer Alliance to promote inclusivity for all members of Brown’s queer community. Today, the Queer Alliance has reaffirmed its commitment to creating space for queer students at Brown, particularly through the curation of social and educational events centered around queer experiences and LGBTQIA+ issues.
