Rural Students at Brown seeks to build a community of students with a shared rural experience, and raise awareness of challenges rural students face in college admissions and college life. It holds several social events a semester, including a bonfire and ice skating. It also collaborates with the Office of Admissions on fly-in programs for rural students and guidance counselors, and with the Office of New Student Programs on events that introduce students to public transportation around campus.
