Malcom Moniz
Biography
Malcom Moniz joined the Student Activities Office in June 2024. Before that, he held various positions in science and education. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Wildlife & Conservation Biology, Malcom worked as a bird biologist for institutions like Cornell University, Tulane, and the University of Minnesota Duluth. Alongside his fieldwork, he taught environmental ecology and biology as an outdoor educator, program coordinator/director, and most recently as a high school teacher at Providence Career and Technical Academy. A passionate naturalist and outdoor enthusiast, Malcom enjoys birding, backpacking, bikepacking, foraging, and mycology. He directs the BOLT program and advises recreation and appreciation student organizations at Brown.
